New Year, New Look, New Budget

The new year is a great time for trying a new look and if you've never shopped at the thrift store now is the time to start. Thrifting can offer you an extremely inexpensive way to bring new life into your wardrobe or at least give you a starting point. Nervous about how your legs will look in a shorter skirt or never wore a jumpsuit before? Instead of spending lots of money for the new trendy thing try picking something up at a Thrift store. If it's something you love you can buy more from your favorite store or keep thrifting:) Try a new color, pattern or even recreate a look that you've seen before for less.

Thrift store shopping is also a great way to build a wardrobe on a budget. Even if all you have is $10 a month. You can buy 1-2 items each month through thrifting. You could also buy a more expensive item one month and then something less expensive the next to balance yourself out. As you build your wardrobe for 2019 here are 12 must haves that everyone male and female should have in their closet.  

1.) Black Pants 
2.) Dark Wash Jeans
3.) Boots 
4.) White T-Shirt 
5.) Crisp White Shirt 
6.) Blazer 
7.) Cardigan or Knit Sweater 
8.) A Leather Belt 
9.) Scarf you Love in a neutral color  
10.) (P)Leather Jacket 
11.) Long Sleeve Black Tee 
12.) Now this one may be a bit more gender specific depending on what you wear...... A black tie or a little black dress. 

Now these are staples of your wardrobe so you want them to be quality. You may have to shop around for a moment to find the perfect item as these should be items you love and that fit great. I'd also suggest if you have more of a budget that you purchase some of these items at a traditional retail store. Then you can supplement these staple items with Thrift Store finds that give your look character. For example add items in your favorite color or more unique pieces from the thrift store.
